Bahraini Ambassador Highlights Strong Jordan-Bahrain Ties

Amman, Mar. 19 (Petra) -- Bahrain’s Ambassador to Amman, Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, emphasized the deep-rooted and strategic partnership between Jordan and Bahrain, describing it as a relationship that continues to grow and foster mutual prosperity and development.
Speaking to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), the ambassador highlighted that the relationship benefits from the personal attention of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, reflecting the shared vision and aspirations of both nations.
He referred to King Abdullah II’s recent visit to Bahrain, noting that discussions between the two leaders focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and exchanging views on regional political developments. The ambassador also underscored the united stance of Jordan and Bahrain in responding to Iran’s aggressive actions, as well as the measures both countries are taking to protect their sovereignty, stability, security, and citizens.
The ambassador stressed the importance of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817, which strongly condemned Iranian attacks on the Arab Gulf states and Jordan, calling for the immediate cessation of any provocations or threats directed at neighboring countries.
He further highlighted the critical importance of halting Iran’s threats to disrupt freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital corridor for global oil shipments and trade, emphasizing that protecting international waterways is a shared responsibility requiring cooperation across the region and beyond.
